It’s no spoiler to tell you that about the protagonist of a 16-year-old book. What I can’t tell you, however, is why. American Gods Episode 1.1 "The Bone Orchard," the pilot of the new STARZ show based on Neil Gaiman’s novel of the same name, is full of characters that are suffering from difficult-to-explain juxtapositions.
